  5. Stir in beef broth and flour, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  6. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, approximately 2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in parsley (if available).
  8. Spread the beef mixture evenly over a cast iron skillet.
  9. Top with mashed potatoes, evenly distributing them.
  10. Bake until the potatoes are golden brown and bubbly, approximately 25 minutes.
  11. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before cutting and serving!
